I plan on gaming and mining on the side with my next build. The choice for me between these two cards is too hard. What do u recommened? What are the advantages of both. No biased answers. Thanks

I was facing this same question when building my new rig back around December. I went with the 280X over the 770 because of the extra VRAM. I've had plently of Nvidia cards in the past, but my last 2 have been AMD. Never really had any issues with either. The 2 in question here both perform similarly, but the 280X is cheaper and has more VRAM. Of course you could get a 4 GB 770 for a premium, and if it has a 256 bit memory bandwidth like the 2 GB does, the 4GB probably would not be able to be properly utilized anyways. The way games seem to be using RAM lately I'd see no point to buying a 2 GB card that costs as much as the 770 does. If it were cheaper than the 280X, then I'd say it would be worth considering. I'd go with the 280X again if I had to make my decision over.
