Hey, I'm wondering if you guys could guide me on how to put password into all of my routers. because i dont know much about these things and i hope these information would help you to guide me.

I use tp-link and i tried to follow the steps that i've watch in youtube on how to put password to my router. However, when I've completed the steps i've only put the password on one of three routers. I went to the wireless setting and type in my SSID and then i went to the wireless security and chose WPA/WPA2, typed in my password, clicked save, and i reboot it.

The reason why I have 3 different routers because my house is 3 floors and the wifi could not get to my room. So the modem is directly connected to router 1 and it is connected to router 2 using dsl cable and then I connected router 2 to router 3 using another dsl cable.

I would really want to put password in my routers so that i could avoid people using my network thus my wifi would not be slow.

I hope these information was useful for you to guide me, thank you for taking your time

Connect your modem to router 1 and configure it in normal way, make sure it works. Configure routers 2 and 3 as AP (access point), and disable their router function. Connect them to router #1 using LAN ports (leave WAN ports on #2 and #3 open). THen configure three different SSIDs with passwords of your choice.
