Remove the network from your laptop then reconnect to it...

Agreed. You were either connected to a secure or unsecured network before and now it is complaining. I assume this is vista. Go to manage wireless networks and delete them, your problem should go away.

This seem like your wireless setting recently has changed. Try to remove the old wireless profile and connect with the new one.
