Hello:
Having spent about 1 to 2 hours researching and investigating I cannot seem to find a piece of software to ''borrow'' cpu power from my recently bought dell server.

I render a lot of videos in sony vegas however my desktop cpu is rather slow in comparison to my new server cpu. My server will be running the latest version of windows server (designed off windows 8) and my desktop runs 8.1.

If you need the specs of the rigs then Ill post them - however I don't think its relevant.

Thanks in advance,
Antony.

it sounds like you have your server set up as a "file server"... not as an "application server"

now my understanding of using a server for video rendering is a little on the thin side... as i don't think i've done that before... but 20 seconds of google searching turned up a possible solution for you. VirtualGL

you'll need to get into server virtulization though, as i am not sure virtualgl will work on a windows based application server.
