Right now, I'm set on getting either an EVGA GTX 770 2Gb or a PNY EVGA GTX 770 4Gb. I trust EVGA more and like the step-up program (in case the 800 series comes out anytime soon), but I can get a 4Gb GTX 770 right now for the same price.

I won't be using multiple monitors to game, but I do want to play games in 3d on my 3d tv. I also plan to SLI the cards in the future. Should I go for a reliable brand or more memory?

I have an evga gtx 680 = evga 770. I like it a lot, but I would save for a 780 over a 770. The 6gb of Vram and the performance boost from the 780 should handle 1080p quite nicely.

I would go with the higher memory (4GB). These days games are requiring much more. Take a look at Watch Dogs, it requires 3GB+ to run Ultra, so if you SLI'ed 2 770 2GB you would not have enough memory to run Ultra still.

What are you paying for the 770 4GB?

I was considering that, but I figure I can pay a bit more to SLI two 770s and I can get the second one when I save up for it. However, the memory doesn't stack with SLI.

That sounds reasonable.

Right now, the PNY GTX 770 4Gb is $310 USD on Amazon.

The clock speed is slightly slower than EVGA's superclocked 2Gb model I was comparing it with, 1059MHz vs. 1111MHz

Update: Sale's over

That is a very good price for a 770. I have never owned a PNY so i can't personally attest for their quality. However like you said the EVGA quality and support is superb. And i can personally attest for the card i recommended, as i own 2 of them.

Either way though, you will get a great setup with 2 770's under SLI and 4GB of Vram.

EVGA is a much better company than PNY, I would pay the difference for an EVGA over a PNY any day. I still recommend a single GPU over SLI or Crossfire.
