Ok so I'm a student and was wondering how the lenovo flex 15 performs doing these tasks.
1. Schoolwork(papers,power points,ect.)
2. Web surfing
3. YouTube
4. Movies
5. Light games(minecraft, tekkit lite)
6. Music

Specs:
Processor: Intel Celeron ULT 2955U Processor (1.40GHz 1600MHz 2MB)
Graphics: intel hd 4400
Ram: ddrl3 4gb
Battery life: 9hours!!!!!!!!!!!!(Huge!)
Price: $450

So what I'm asking is how well will microsoft office run?
What fps should I expect on minecraft(with optifine)?
How will hd videos and movies run?
Is iTunes available for windows?

Thx!

Office will run fine unless you have really huge spreadsheets. HD movies and videos should run well, the GPU has a built in decoder so it should be able to play at least one or two simultaneously. Itunes is available for windows, works almost the same as the mac version. When it comes to games the best I can find is this video HERE and this review which lists game benchmarks at the bottom HERE

I have limited experience with the 4400HD but as a guess it should be at least hitting 30fps in the normal minecraft with a couple mods and optifine tweaked for performance.

The information provided by Lenovo is incorrect (likely a copy & paste job). The Intel Celeron ULT 2955U does not have an Intel HD 4400 graphics core, it only has a Haswell generation Intel HD graphics core (note: there is no model number).

Here is more info about the Intel Celeron ULT 2955U:

Here is a link to more info about the Haswell generation Intel HD graphics core. It's performance is ranked higher than the Intel HD 3000, but lower than the Intel HD 4000.

The Flex 15 can handle what you want to do. However, playing games will be it's weakest point. For Minecraft you should get ok performance with low graphic settings and resolution. I would guess 25 FPS - 30 FPS most of the time @ 1366 x 768 resolution.

I have tested the Intel HD 3000 (slower than the Haswell generation Intel HD according to the above link) and I found it could hand Mass Effect 3 decently enough which I had played from start to finish. Performance was no where near the nvidia GT 550m dedicated graphics chip in my laptop, but with low expectations I found the Intel HD 3000 to be capable enough. I need to add that the laptop has a dual core i5-2410m CPU which is more powerful than a Celeron CPU.
