Lenovo flex 14 performance?

Hi I'm a student and am buying a laptop soon. I was wondering if the Flex 14 will be up for the job. So I'll be doing these tasks.
1. Schoolwork(Word,PowerPoint)
2. YouTube/movies
3. Minecraft/tekkit lite
4. Skype

Specs:
Processor: 4th Generation Intel Core i3-4010U Processor (1.70GHz 1600MHz 3MB)
Graphics: intel hd 4400
Ram: 4gb
Battery life: 9hours
Price: $550

So my questions are...

How will it perform on Word and PowerPoint.
How will movies and YouTube perform
What fps will I get on minecraft + optifine(optifine is an fps doubling program)

Any modern laptop can handle the programs you listed without any issues.

As for Minecraft, you should get decent performance.

Buy the the Lenovo Flex 15 @ newegg for $499.99. Same specs as the Flex 14 for less money. It has a small 8GB SSD cache for the hard drive, not sure if the Flex 14 has it as well. Purchasing the laptop from Lenovo means you also need to pay taxes. You do not need to pay taxes when buying from Newegg unless you live in the same state as their headquaters (CA) or in a state where they have a warehouse (NJ and TN to the best of my knowledge).

My uncle works for lenovo and can get me a discount so I'm trying to have him buy it for me. Thx tho!
