Corsair k65 keyboard not being reconized by windows 7

After using this keyboard for months on my windows 8 machine, I wanted to use it on my laptop. The keyboard LED's light up a solid color, but I am unable to type with it. Any idea as to what the problem might be?

Did you try searching for the drivers to install them if they did not automatically install? And more than likely it needs to be connected to the USB 2.0 port and not a 3.0 port if that is the issue.

There are no drivers available for my the keyboard, its apparently "driver-less" and my laptop doesn't even have USB 3 ports, I've tried it on other windows 7 machines, but it won't work on them either.
