I bought two Toshiba Satellite c55-A5105 part number PSCJEU-00K018 with the intention for a mix and match workstation running Windows 7. I have been unsuccessful with drivers working with Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit, from Toshiba and now generic drivers from Intel & RealTek. I haven't tried the generic drivers yet.

To explain where I am now I formatted Windows 8, partitioned with MBR for my three Windows 7 OSes, and installed 64 bit Windows 7 on one of the partitions to set up the drivers. The computer has no way of getting online or even using the USB ports. Realtek LAN driver from Toshiba does not successfully install giving me something like "driver not found". The only way I got the drivers on the OS is with a CD I burned. I've turned off "secure boot", changed the bios to CSM, and now have Windows 7 installed with no real functionality.

Looking online I can see other people are having the same issues with Windows 7 downgrading on this particular Toshiba model. I read about someone who sucessfully got Wireless LAN, Ethernet drivers functional. Here is the link: http://tshb.lithium.com/t5/Drivers-and-Utilities/C55-A5105-Windows-8-gt-7-Downgrade-Missing-USB-Driver/td-p/582886 .

Is it even possible to downgrade to Windows 7 with full functionality (meaning all hardware drivers functioning) on this Toshiba laptop model? I am considering returning these 2 laptops back to Best Buy if I can not get the USBs functioning unlike in the linked topic.
