Different Amount of Ram

Im getting 8gb of ram and was wondering if I should get ! ram stick that's 8gb or 2 4gb ram sticks. Is there any kind of difference?

It depends on yo mobo - if u can use Dual Channel Ram, then t two stick config will b better as t CPU will b able t access both sticks at once

2x4gb. The ram is designed to work in pairs, thats why it is called dual channel memory. You will see real world difference of 10% increase just by using 2x4gb over 1x8gb.

I would go for 2x4GB RAM instead of 1x8GB as doing 2x4 lets you dual channel.

Yes, a two stick kit will be able to run in a faster dual channel mode.

10% real world difference? I'd like some proof. I won't deny 2 sticks is better but I dislike made up stats.
