Hey guys, I'm looking for a H97/Z97 Chipset to run my i5 4440 I'm planning to buy from.

My question today is if a mobo has 2 CPU Fan headers obviously one would be used for the CPU Fan, could I use the other one for a chassis Fan?

Same goes for a Power fan header, I know it's designed for the PSU fan but can it be used for a chassis Fan?

ALso does anyone know of any good H97 Mobos (that are cheapish) that have a good ammount of fan headers?

I'm located in England if that helps with getting a H97 Motherboard recommendation.

Cheers,

Primordial Genesis.

Is h97 even released? I haven't heard any news about that. Well either way the cpu will work with h87. I'd suggest looking at Asus h87-m its reasonably cheap and good quality. To your question about using for chassis, yes you can. And I'm not sure what you mean about the power fan header but if its just another header than yes. You can plug your fan to the header and place it anywhere you want as long as it reaches that far.

Hi. The H97 will be fine. You can use the second one for a chassis fan, but depending on the motherboard you need to as they generally have plenty of fan headers. I think I do have one of my top fans plugged into the 2nd CPU header. The PSU fan is inside the PSU and gets its power from that and not the motherboard.

I'm aware the PSU fan get's its power from the PSU, however I have read on another thread on here that the Power header is to monitor temps of the PSU fan and so you can control the speed.
