The 2x780ti is FAR better than 2x780's regardless of VRAM.

While I initially agree with you... I would like to see test numbers. He may have good reason for the 6GB VRAM gaming in QHD with SLI. I honestly don't have a recommendation. I would love to see numbers though.

This is true on some games. But on something like Watchdogs the extra vram will increase perfomance at ultra settings. Even at 1080p ultra settings can use over 3Gb of vram.

The Titan blacks have 6Gb of vram and are just as fast as the 780Ti just more expensive.

Except, then he would be stuck with AMD space heaters when he asked about two nVidia cards.

If he is asking about (2) GTX 780's he likely already has a PSU good enough to power them.

These PCS+ R9 290X are really good cards but they need a powerfull psu. i think a 850w psu may be not enough.

Actually the convention wisdom that two 780 Ti's is "faster" than two 780's might not be all that true. When you consider the bottlenecking that will be rampant on such a system, they may actually perform about the same. Pump up the resolutions and put in a VRAM hog like Watch Dogs, and that wisdom might just be turned upside down on its ear.

That's true but thats on a game that is known for being a vram hog. On most other games conventional wisdom is correct.
