so i have a 4gb nvidia 770 and recently, when i boot up from restart or shut down it will run really hot, about 93 degrees Celsius for no reason. Completely idle at my screensaver and its really loud.

so these are the errors i get after a black screen which happens about once ever 5 minutes. it seems that the only way i have been able to solve it so far is to re install the driver every time i turn it on. So does anyone know a way to fix it to be back to normal when i didnt have to do this?

Try a different driver. Although I'd first look at clocks and usage to make sure it really is working rather than being a heatsink issue since that takes like a second to check compared to how long a driver takes to dl and install.

ok so after i restarted i checked and everything is at 0, it seems to me that its a driver problem... is it possible for my computer to not run the driver or something is blocking the driver from working properly?

Also i went into the bios and saw that under CCPU fan it says N/A.... but CPU opt seems to work and accurately represent the speeds of the fan on top of my cpu... But I dont think its that fan, it sounds, and looks more like its the GPU fan.... Confusing.

The cpu fan could just be in that cpu opt header instead of the cpu1 header. I'm assuming you have only 1 cpu fan so that's not really a problem.

Since everything is at 0, there is something wrong with the driver but it could be hardware related causing the driver to fail. Boot into safe mode and check temps.

I don't know what "that" was referring to. Did you ever boot into safe mode?

i did try booting it in safe mode but it didnt help, o did notice something when i was checking temps in exga precision x, it is pretty normal for about 20 seconds and then the clock goes crazy! here is what precison x looks like.... https://imageshack.com/i/idjbqOxGp

How long have you had it before it started having the issue? It doesn't appear to be downclocking so still seems software related. Is there a new bios for the mobo or vbios for the gpu?
