Hey, I'm not sure if this is the right area to post this or not, I'm new here. I'm currently upgrading my PC (buying parts next weekend.) These are the parts I'm getting
Intel Core i5-4430 3.0GHz (currently have an AMD A6)
HIS Radeon R9 270X 2GB IceQ X² (graphics card is integrated)
Antec 450W ATX Power Supply
What I need to know is, if anyone could tell me if I need to upgrade my MOBO to go with these, I'm not sure what I have. Here's a link to what I have now http://www.bestbuy.com/site/hp-pavilion-desktop-amd-a6-series-8gb-memory-1tb-hard-drive/1310610347.p?id=mp1310610347&skuId=1310610347&st=Amd%20A6%20desktop&cp=1&lp=2#tab=buyingOptions its the same except I have windows 7. and I'm sorry I know the best buy site isn't the best for these things :( but maybe you'll be able to find more info where as I suck at it :)

Intel and Amd Cpu's never share the same socket or motherboard. In the case of your pc you are better off building a new one since you already have to replace most of the parts to get it to work.

You might not want to re-use the case. I doesn't have good airflow or cable management. I would recommend getting a new one. As for the RAM, you should be fine, but knowing HP quality, it might be on the slower side.

It'll all depend on how much I have left over after buying the main parts, and I may upgrade ram at a later date. Sorry I'm a little clueless with it all, I'm rather new to the whole hardware building side of things.
