Will a wireless point to point internet connection cut my bandwidth in-half?

Not in the same sense a repeater will. A repeater the receiving device is in effect sending all the data back to the sender as well as everyone else. This use radio bandwidth and more importantly causes interference and congestion. Point to point wireless only sends the data one time but it is still a half duplex session so traffic can not flow both ways at the same time. This is one of the main reason no wireless gets the rated speed. Point to point should get about what a single pc connected to a router would get since there are only 2 devices competing but the distance of the point to point also has a impact.

no, it would not cut bandwidth in-half but will influence your communication distance
