Which R9 280x brand would you guys recommend?

Sapphire, VTX, Gigabyte, MSI - what's the best price/performance

I'm thinking sapphire it's only 270 dollars here for the dual-x OC version.

I could get a VTX R9 280x for the same price of a Sapphire R9 280, but I read quiet a lot of overheating problems with the VTX version. It does come with 2 year warranty though... Worth the gamble, what do you think?

What about MSI R9 280x vs Sapphire R9 280 (without x), with the MSI one costing $50 more.

Which one would you pick?

Is it a big difference between 280 and 280x?

Thank you, but is it really worth spending $100 more for a better known brand? I've had ATI crossfired cards both were the ATX brand and I had no issues with them before.

I can get the ATX one 25% cheaper than the ASUS, Sapphire, Gigabyte ones.

I have never heard of vtx but I looked it up on google and the cooler doesnt look that good.. I have a MSI R9 280X myself and I love it. But I suggest you search for some benchmarks and set your priorities. Do you want the most quiet one, the best looking or the coolest? I suggest one of these: MSI, Asus (Matrix or Direct CU II), Gigabyte, Sapphire (preferrably the Tri-X), XFX. With the Matrix and Tri-X being the best cooling. They all cool pretty well and are quiet (nothing a fan profile can't fix ;) ) I think you should look for some comparisons and then decide which one to get.
