Hi all... I had been running a quad monitor display... with two mismatched cards. Grossly mismatched... in standard Windows 7 desktop (no gaming). Obviously no SLI.

I had a GTX 260 in the primary PCI slot, and a GTX 560Ti in the other...

Things ran well... sort of. Here is the mystery:

I had twice the frame rate from monitors in the SLOWER CARD, than did in the GTX 560Ti.

Then I removed the 260 completely... and moved the 560 into the primary slot, and retested on two monitors.

Suddenly my frame rates were *twice as fast as the fastest rates before*

This probably means that either: having the 260 in there was killing everything... OR not having the 560 in the primary slot was killing performance... OR both.

Can anyone help me understand all this strangeness?

Thank you!!

560ti is probably not running at x16 on the second pci slot. Use 560 as the primary card and the 260 in the second slot. Should solve your problems
