Heya all ! Just had some overclocking questions =)

I just build a new pc, here are the specs.

Case = (In case you were wondering; NZXT 820 BLK)
Mobo = Asus Maximus VI Hero
Proc = I7-4770k
Memory 2 8X2 2133 mhz Patriot 16 all together
Vcard = GTX 780 TI OC/AC cooled (cant remember what its called)
PSU = 1000W Evga gold ( I plan on SLI in the future when I can afford it / need it)
Monitor = Overlord 1440p 110hz OC

If there is any other information let me know if you need it, this is my first build and it turned out absolutely amazing! Cost me about 2 grand case and with everything off of amazon, which I chose because I got free shipping here to Alaska!

So my first oc questions are first of all, WHO SHOULD I TRUST?! I got 31 - 34 * C in CPU-Z, However when I log into bios I got temperatures of 26-30 *C Which makes a huge diff when overclocking I hear.

My second question I honestly don't know how with this set up and am hoping someone can guide me through it, so far this is what I have done. I clicked in VI hero bios where it says to level up your cpu to 4.2ghz after of course optimizing it, so at the moment it is running at its own pace OC'd at 4.2 ghz and hitting temperatures of 84 degrees on prime 95 in the first 5 minutes or so, now I am not sure if this gives you an idea of what is going on but I am hoping you can help me optimize it ! AND APPARENTLY... In the bios it is only hitting temperatures of 66 or so degrees which still begs the question, which one do I believe.

BTW To top it off, I did remove the cooling compound on both the processor and the heat sink and tried to apply my own with artic.. something cant remember what its called.

So what do you guys think ? :) Help me overclock it ya?!

Solution
84C is still within safe temperatures. I wouldn't worry too much a bout the bios temperatures. Jsut worry more about temps in windows and when you're running applications. At least that's how i go about it.

It's a bit warm, but i don't think you have to worry too much about it.
