Will a Corsair H100i fit into a Rosewill Blackhawk case?

Hello all,

Pretty much what it says in the title. I'm into overclocking as of recently (i5-4670k at 4.2GHz with Cooler Master Hyper 212) and I have been looking at liquid cooling. The Corsair H100i (on sale at Newegg, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835181032&nm_mc=EMC-IGNEFL061314&cm_mmc=EMC-IGNEFL061314-_-EMC-061314-Index-_-WaterCooling-_-35181032-L011D) seems to be a good fit for what I want in terms of cooling, but I am unsure if it would fit in my case. Any and all help would be appreciated, thanks!

Best thing to do is to measure. The rad is 27mm and fans are 25mm, you would need 52mm at the absolute minimum for this setup, from the top of your mobo to the top of your case. You can either get really slim fans or run the fans outside the case on top.

From what I've read in this thread though, nope, not unless you mod it or use slim fans or fans outside the case as I previously said.

Darn. I REALLY liked that cooler, but I'm not willing to tear up my case to use it. Do you know what kind of fans I could mount to it to make it slimmer, or any other suitable replacements for the H100i? Thanks for replying.

yeah i know what you mean , IMHO this guy is a bit of a butcher though , if it were me i would cut out the top section with an angle grinder with a thin 1mm cutting disc and then bolt on a plate i made to hold the rad.
looks like you are out of luck my friend

Currently on my Hyper 212, I have a 4.2GHz overlcock (stock is 3.4 for i5-4670k), but the temps are high for my liking (78 degrees under stress), and I was hoping to push my overclock to 4.4 or maybe 4.6 if I'm lucky. Problem is, I BSOD if my voltage goes any lower, so I figure I need better cooling to get my temps lower so I can clock higher.. Not to mention, it looks pretty cool :p

You have heaps of room for a cpu air cooler in your case , the 212 evo is not meant for high overclocks
from what i can find
your maximum cpu cooler height is 177mm or 190mm with the left fans removed
so you can step up to a much better air cooler if you wish

That's a good idea, but I've seen really crazy overclocks on liquid rigs and not on air-cooled, how well would they work, and do you know any good ones?
