Hey guys i wanna build a gaming pc for $400 and i wanna play latest games on it, wanna do some modeling and game development (not like professional).... So i don't wanna use amd processors , i'd rather choose a core 2 quad but not amd processor... not that amd is not good but i need intel..
I REally Wanna Play Watch dogs on 'it \ Monitor Resolution is 1600x900 900p..
So far i've this build in my mind;
Storage hard drive (My friend is giving me one for $20)
Memory 4gb 1600mhz ddr3 (My friend is giving me his for $30)
Processor Intel core i3 4130 3.4ghz ($110) \\| Or intel core 2 quad Q6600 for $80
Mobo Gigabyte GA-H81M-DS2 LGA1150 ($50)
Gigabyte GZ-F3 Chassis ($30) http://www.czone.com.pk/casing-gigabyte-casings-gigabyte-gz-f3-chassis-pakistan-p.2296.aspx

Need some serious help in graphics cards .. i saw in youtube that nvidia cards are good for gaming, modeling and game development while amd cards are good for video editing stuff, 2 or 3 monitors .. So maybe nvidia is good for me cause i need to game, do some modeling and do game development and web browsing stuff..

I have this graphic card in mind;;;;
EVGA geforce Gtx 750ti SuperClock 2gb card ($180)

GTX 650ti Boost

Guys what do u think , is my build right for gaming and can it run watch dogs on 900p medium or high settings with more than 30FPS ... Currently i have this build Core 2 Duo @3.0GHZ 4gb ram 1300mhz and Gigabyte geforce gt630 2gb card and i was able to run Watch dogs on very low settings at 900p with 15-20FPS but the game was lagging so much that it wasn't playable..

If this build could have been better plz tell me and thanks in advance !! :)

P.S \\// I ALREADY HAVE WINDOWS 8.1 64 BIT , KEYBOARD , MOUSE, SPEAKERS, TABLE AND ALL THE BASIC PC STUFF..

You might be surprised how big of a difference the 750ti alone would make compared to the gt630 you have now. Personally I think I would swap cards first, see how happy you are with that, then just wait and save up for an i5, 8GB of ddr3 ram, and a motherboard.

U know what i want now is to take a cool case and as the mobo is compatible also with i3 and i5 , i wll slowly upgrade my build from i3 to i5 , 8 gigs of ram and other stuff, as i have core 2 duo now, if i would get a gtx 750 ti SC version it would bottleneck with core 2 duo

What Core 2 Duo is it? Some are stronger then others. - Most of the core 2 duo's don't anyways, so you shouldn't even have a bottleneck.

For absolute reference; even with a bottleneck, the GTX 750Ti will make a heck of a difference compared to a slower card you may have been using, a bottleneck doesn't damage the card or effect it physically in any way, just your going to have a limited degree of performance. When you upgrade the CPU, then all is fine.

I have E8400 Core 2 duo, but what if i upgrade it to core 2 quad q6600 , and put some more money in the graphics card , i wanna get a gtx 760 but it's expensive , i saw a galaxy geforce gtx 760 for $240 is the galaxy manufacturer fine or i just stick with EVGA gtx 750ti Superclock edition 2gb and get a core 2 quad q6600 that would save me $50 $20 from mobo and $30 from cpu , so i can get a good 1600mhz 8gb memory and later upgrade to core i3 ??? any ideas

What do you mean by 'I need Intel'?

Your E8400 would be a good match for the 750Ti, you can upgrade the CPU later if you need to. If you can afford a GTX 760, that would be the best choice, however it would be slightly bottlenecked by your CPU.

If you do decide to upgrade the CPU instead of staying with the E8400, some of this may be helpful:

Yes, the i3 4130 will outperform the Core 2 Quad in most tasks, including gaming. Toms did a test a while ago about this, you can find it here: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/ivy-bridge-wolfdale-yorkfield-comparison,3487.html

You say you may do modelling. For that, (yes, i know you said no AMD), the FX 6300 would perform better than the i3 or Core 2 Quad, and costs only slightly more.

I have both an FX 6300 and my current i7 4770K. Both perform fine in games.

About CPU (Spoiler saves space):
The big thing that most people look past is, yes, AMD CPUs will usually get lower frame rates, but in most games this is the difference between something like 130 FPS and 100FPS, which for most people is not a problem. This is because most people V-Sync to 60FPS.

Skyrim is an example of this. Intel performs considerably better, but it is still more than playable on AMD.

Out of the two GPUs you have listed, the 750ti will perform the best.

And about Graphics Cards:
Whatever you saw about Graphics cards is not really correct at all. Both AMD and Nvidia are good for gaming. Actually, AMD cards will sometimes get slightly higher frame rates at high resolutions compared with Nvidia.

Both AMD and Nvidia are good for video editing, and they both perform about equally with 2 or 3 monitors. Most video editing is affected by the CPU, not the GPU. Yes, GPU acceleration is a part of it, but a good CPU will make the biggest difference.

I am by no means saying you build idea is bad, the i3 4130 with the 750Ti and your other parts will perform fine.

I just think that you should look at AMD as an alternative. They provide reasonable performance for their cost.

You could get a 265/270 or 650ti boost now and add a 2nd card after upgrading your processor. You might need a new PSU going this route and WILL need a new one after a new CPU and 2nd GPU, something to consider for substantially better performance that allows you to do it in a few steps, each one steadily increasing your performance.

You could also get a single 750ti as kind of a last upgrade for your current setup, not have to worry about PSU. Keep in mind you can start a new build with a prebuilt i3/i5 tower for $400-$500 which comes with windows 8.1.

All the above mentioned GPUs would be better off with a faster CPUs but you will have gains with each step you take.
