I want to upgrade my video card on my desktop computer.

Intel Corporation DP35DP
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600
RAM 2x2 GB - 400 MHz - PC2-6400
ATI Radeon HD 3800 Series
I know i have one PCIe x16 Gen 2.x slot inside. The problem is should i buy a ddr3 card as my current video card or should i go for a PCIe x16 Gen 3.x card with ddr5? If so could someone propose a video card option
