I updated my graphics drivers for the AMD radeion 7790 to 14.6, and I noticed a significant FPS drop, so I downgraded my drivers to 13.9, but the FPS drop is still there. For example, i could play BF3 on high and get 50fps, but now I only get 30fps on low. Can anyone help me find out why I have this problem and how I can fix this? I think it's due to the graphics drivers, but I've downgraded and it still hasn't worked.

Specs:
ASUS M5A97 rev 2.0
AMD fx6300
8GB Corsair Vengance DDR3 ram
MSI Radeon HD 7790 1GB GDDR5 OC

You need to do a clean uninstall of the old drivers, reboot, then install the new drivers.

Use AMD's Clean uninstall utility.

Do not do an AUTO uninstall, that removes everything. Do a custom uninstall, select all the GPU related drivers, incl the HDMI audio, and CCC. Leave Chipset, SATA and USB drivers alone.

I've already done that when I updated the graphics drivers, and when i downgraded

I fixed it for anyone who has the same problem, you have to delete all the leftover folders and edit registries manually after you do a clean uninstall
