Hi there guys

I've installed and used Windows 8.1 on my 2TB seagate drive for about a year now. I have an SSD that i acquired and thought about using that to put windows 7. I booted using the windows 7 disk and installed windows 7 on SSD after formatting the SSD, and now the computer only boots in windows 7. I have had no luck booting into windows 8. I've gone into the BIOS and changed the boot order and it's just skipping the seagate HD for the SSD. I've even tried unplugging the SSD and all i get is an OS error.

If i go into Disk management in windows 7, it shows both drives as healthy. I can even access the windows 8 drive in my computer and its files, but i cant see why its not booting anymore. I've also tried putting in the windows 8 disk for repair, but it just errors after about 5 minutes no matter what i do. This is really puzzling and if i can't fix this i'll try using Linux.

I've fixed the error by using the windows 8 disk in another disk drive i have. I had to use startrep.exe because it didn't know i had windows 8 installed. All the repair options just highlighted windows 7 only. After i fixed it, it's now not showing my SSD at all. Not even in Disk management or the SSD software. Man, windows really rocks. I can't believe people put up with this shit time and time again.
