MOBO: Gigabyte AM3+ AMD DDR3 1333 760G HDMI USB 3.0 Micro ATX Motherboard GA-78LMT-USB3
CPU: AMD FX-8320 8-core 3.5GHz
GPU: AMD Radeon HD 7750 1GB DDR5
RAM: 6GB DDR3 PC3-12800 (800MHz)
PSU: Corsair Builder Series CX 500 Watt ATX/EPS 80 PLUS (CX500)
PC Tower: Rosewill Gaming ATX Mid Tower Computer Case CHALLENGER-U3 Black

Okay so I plan to upgrade to a R7-260X or a GTX 750 Ti GPU, will I need to get a stronger PSU no matter which one I get? And if so, should I continue on the same series of PSU that I have already or is there a much better one out there?

The CX500 is more than sufficient to handle either an R7-260X or a GTX 750 Ti.
