gtx 480 still good ?

Solution
Yes, it still has some life left in it. Comparing it to todays cards it performs roughly the same as a 650ti boost or a 7850. I definitely would not recommend buying one now but if you do have one, then yes it can play the latest games

Define well .

The question can not be answered w/o defining the parameters. What resolution, what frame rates do you consider acceptable ? Do you care about all the detail and AA settings ?

One of my sons has a 480 and he's not quite ready to upgrade yet. A480 is equivalent to:

GTX 295, 480, 570, 650 Ti Boost, 750 Ti
HD 4870 X2, 6970, 7850, R7 265

So if you're wondering whether to replace your 480 with one of those, the answer would be no.

THG says .....

I don’t recommend upgrading your graphics card unless the replacement card is at least three tiers higher. Otherwise, the upgrade is somewhat parallel, and you may not even notice any worthwhile difference in performance.

Moving up 3 tiers would mean grabbing....

GTX 590, 680, 770
HD 6990, 7970 GHz Ed, R9 280X

If ya budget doesn't allow for that, I would not bother upgrading....OTOH if your MoBo / PSU would allow for it, a 2nd 480 in SLI .... they are on e-bay from $35 to $199 .... would increase your performance about 75%
