Hey there everyone. This is what I'm planning on building this summer.

CPU: Intel Core i5-4590 3.3GHz Quad-Core Processor
Motherboard: ASRock H97 PRO4 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-2133 Memory
Storage: Crucial M500 120GB 2.5" Solid State Drive
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
Video Card: Sapphire Radeon R9 290 4GB Vapor-X Video Card
Case: Enermax ECA3280A-BL ATX Mid Tower Case
Power Supply: EVGA SuperNOVA NEX 650W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply
Optical Drive: Asus DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 (OEM) (64-bit)

I've only got one shot at this.
Do I have any bottlenecking?
How about any improvements?
My budget is 1,000$-1,200$.

Would the CPU Cooler fit in my case?

You don't really need to get a CPU cooler - that is a locked CPU so it can't be overclocked - stock fan will be fine. The CPU cooler is something you can get later if you feel its needed, I'd start with the stock fan. Build looks good, really nothing needs to be changed.

Not to start an amd vs intel debate, but go for an fx 8320 or 8350 and save a few bucks. If you insist on intel, go with an i7, i5 chips are on the same level as amd's 8000 series but only cost more.

Also, windows 7 is better than 8

I also like AMD. But, I actually have windows 8 on my laptop right now, and I love it. I think I'll stick with 8 for now. :)

the i5 is about 45% faster in single threaded applications... and it only costs maybe $10 more. So for the most part the i5 will be better in all games that don't use over 4 cores... and even on the few games that can use up to 8 the performance will still be very close between the two CPUs... Get the i5.

See even on BF4 that uses up to 8 cores the i5's still perform better - http://www.techspot.com/review/734-battlefield-4-benchmarks/page6.html
