Hello I have a Dell Vostro 3450 with an i5 sandy bridge and I have recently been looking forward to doing a ram upgrade. I wanted 8 gigs and 1866 Mhz and after doisng some googling I eventually narrowed my options to these three:

http://www.amazon.com/KINGSTON-Kingston-Hx318ls10ibk2-1866Mhz-Sodimm/dp/B00KQCOUVM
http://www.amazon.com/Kingston-Modules-Notebook-KHX1866C11S3P1K2-8G/dp/B004XZ8ZQE
Which one would you buy ?
Thanx in advance for the help.

I'd go with Corsair simply because I've had many good experiences with their RAM (never once had any problems at all).

That's no to say I've had issue with Kingston, I've just never had much experience with them.

Plus I like the Vengeance line from Corsair :vip:

According to laptop specs the ram inside the dell vostrao 3450 is of this type: PC3-10600 1333MHz DDR3 SDRAM 204pin SODIMM so id try to stick with that spec for better compability and a better chance your ram will work

btw how much ram does your current laptop have. im guessing your taking all the ram sticksout and putting new ones in

btw there isnt a real world difference when it comes to 1333 vs 1866 mhz ram. so if your the kind of guy who just browses the web, skypes, emails, etc. then you should be fine.

Hello iceblitzed
I currently have 6gigs of ram in my laptop running at 1333MHz, I was looking for the 1866MHz upgrade as I thought 8 gigs of ram would help with running programs, and I am starting to develop programs with backtrack I know it's old but it seams to work well with solving errors, and when ever I executing a wrong command my laptop ends up using a few gigs of ram at a time, I thought more ram would help my laptop be more stable, and lastly there's mine craft, more ram, could mean more fps, thanks for the reply
