Hey all,

I just bought a new built PC, but the monitor hasn't arrived yet,
(The motherboard is a ASUS H87I-PLUS C2 , i don't know if you'll need that information)

Anyways, I have a Samsung Smart TV, which I used to plug my laptop via the HDMI and enjoy the big screen.
I thought I could do the same with my new pc until my monitor arrives, but the TV just says there's no signal.
More precisely, once that I switch on the computer, the TV does detect that something's connected in the HDMI, but when I select that source, it ways 5 seconds and then says an error message (No signal, please check the parameters of whatever is plugged, etc)

It's plugged at the bak of the computer, on the motherboard (there's only 1 hdmi anyways).
I don't have much knowledge in hardware. Any ideas what's wrong ? Do I need to enable some HDMI parameters first, and currently the only thing that is working by default is the VGA ?

Thanks !

you need to change your screen resolution.

Knowing what size Samsung Smart TV would help.

My Samsung says that if my computer is in sleep mode or off.

Have you loaded all of the motherboard drivers including the integrated graphics driver. Have you flashed the BIOS?

You may have to wait for the monitor (or borrow a monitor) so you can instal the operating system. There is a lot of setup information that requires a monitor.
