Ram woes help

Hey guys,need a little help here,i have an intel 4770k,gigabyte z87 oc mb system with gtx 780 ti of msi and samsung ssd 840.i brought a cosair vengeance 2400 ram for that.the trouble is i could get only one pair of ram,i managed to convince one friend to get me another pair,but its taking too long.question is should i try to get this or go for another completely new pairs of ram?and if going for new set pls give suggestions.money is of no issue.help!!!

Sounds like you want 2 sets of 2 sticks of DRAM? If so, I'd return the set you have and get a single set of 4 sticks (if going for 32GB of DRAM) if wanting 16GB get a 2x8GB set (less stress on the MC (memory controller) than a 4x4GB set. With your mobo and CPU I'd look at the GSkill Snipers or Trident X in 2400/10
if i undestood correctly, you worry if only one pair will work? it will, actually a pair will allow dual channel and max performance. i suppose a pair of 8-16gb. 2400mhz ram can be run from your setup as long as you o/c your cpu.4.2ghz will do the trick. just enable xmp in bios.
