I'm looking for a mobo that will give me better performance in streaming movies/video and tv. The mobo we are currently using is at least 6 years old and it is performing it highest capacity. It will not upgrade to Win 7 which is also a must. I don't want to spend hundreds of dollars on one and I also don't want to be looking at having to purchase another one in two years. I really need some help on this. I have read through the forums and several of those recommended, especially Asus, are out of stock or discontinued.

When you upgrade the motherboard you will also have to upgrade the cpu. For your uses i'd suggest this combo:
