Sony VAIO Windows 7 WiFi network laptop wont let me manually enable wireless capabilities

When I went to connect to WiFi my network WiFi icon has a red X on it andiwent to turn it on by the switch and it was stuck so I got it unstuck but it still wouldn't turn on so I went to manually turn it on and it as if it is unavailable to be turned on when it was working before help

What do you mean by "stuck" and how did you get it "unstuck"? It's most likely that you broke the part that interfaces with the toggle switch on the motherboard and now it's stuck in the off position. Only way to know is to disassemble the laptop's case and take a look.
