so this just started happening and its super weird but my gtx 760 started making a high pitched whineing noise but only on fifa 14 not on any other game. this just started happening a couple minuets ago when i turned on fifa 14, the noise is a weird high pitched whining sound that stoped when i alt tab'ed from fifa 14 which leads me to believe it was the graphics card. my system is more then capable to run the game, i mean if i can run arma 3 with out any lag then this game shouldnt give me any problems. i contacted ea and they have no idea other than to reinstall the game or go to bestbuy geek squad and have them check it out. any one have any ideas what might be causeing this or how to fix it?

It sounds like it may be coil whine. Do you have V-Sync on in FIFA 14?

I've only encountered coil whine from my own card when running a very low requirement game (which FIFA 14 is) without V-sync or some kind of frame limiter on. Without something to limit the framerate, the card works flat out producing hundreds of frames which serve no purpose, as your display can only show so many (60 per second if you have a 60Hz screen).

I should point out I don't experience coil whine when the card is working flat out on a graphically demanding game, only when it's working flat out on a very simple to run game, like FIFA 14, which is why I think this might be your issue.

So to summarize, try turning on V-Sync or some other kind of frame...
