I'm trying to decide from 2 CPUs:
The Intel Core i5-4590 3.3GHz Quad-Core Processor
and the AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz 6-Core Processor

Which one is better?
Also, I'll be building a GAMING PC.

The i5 is going to be way faster than the FX6300, overall performance and what is important for lots of tasks, the single-core performance would be much better too.

The two CPU's are also from two whole different budgets if you're buying new ones. Would better compare the i5 to a FX8320 or FX8350

So would say the only CPU that could win over the i5 from the FX-series, is the FX8320 when it's overclocked or a FX8350 (which is also a beast when overclocked).

ofc there's the FX9xxx which is faster, but they're a whole other priceclass too.

So FX6300 vs i5-4590, it's a clear i5 pick. ;)

Look at this comparison: Now you tell me. Which is better.

Pay attention to the single-thread performance of the two and the power consumption.More power - more cooling, more noise.
