Hello guys I will really appreciate it if you can help me I have the asus rampage iv extreme I have set it all up and my CPU is i7-4930k it turns of for one second and then turns of. I know why this is happening, this is due to the bios and that I need to update it. So I tried to update it but it flashes for 3 seconds and it does not update I have named the file right. I would like to ask why is that?

You only need to convert BIOS if your present version is 1404 or older, otherwise the BIOS is already converted to .CAP format.

Updating BIOS using USB BIOS Flashback
1. Insert a FAT32 formatted USB 2.0 Flash Drive in the specific USB BIOS Flashback port.
2. Download and extract the desired .CAP BIOS file to the USB stick.
3. Rename the BIOS file to R4E.CAP.
4. Power down the PC (must still be plugged in to AC power outlet).
5. Press USB BIOS Flashback button for ~3 seconds, until the blinking starts.
6. After 30s - 90s the LED goes dark, and the update is ready.

BIOS settings will be at Default Settings.

Download and extract means the file needs to be uncompressed before using.

So is that defiantly the problem with my computer because I just built it yesterday and when ever I try to turn it on it comes on for a split second then turns of. And on the motherboard the red light is flashing showing there is something wrong with the CPU. Also is there any way to do it without a CPU? I have heard you can is that correct?

Erm can I take it into pcworld and they will do it? Because I don't want to spend another £350 on a CPU?
