This is my first PC build and I wanted to build something that will last as long as possible without having to upgrade. I plan to do video editing, recording, and gaming on the pc. I planned to save all my games on the 500GB SSD while using the 120GB SSD for the operating system and the 1TB hard drive for backup storage.

Any advice for changes or is everything good to go. Willing to spend a extra $300 on the PC if I need too.

Yes, it will be good for a couple years at least. Congrats on the build. :)

Just a few suggestions:

With SSD you don't need separate boot and storage. They are lightning fast. Will cost less to get 1 higher capacity SSD.

If this is for gaming, an i5 k series will be nearly as good with a single high end GPU. You really only need an i7 with a multi GPU setup as it scales better with SLI/crossfire.

Get one of the new Devils Canyon i5 or i7 CPUs instead. They are the same price, have a higher stock speed, better TIM on the IHS and lower temperatures.

Great build, though you could save some money here or there. To your questions:

"will it last long?"/ Will it perform well throughout this generation of games?
Absolutely, your choice of CPU (HT enabled) and GPU (very strong with plenty of VRAM for 1080p gaming) will have you running current and future titles at great settings/fps.

If youre willing to go SLI/CFX...I would grab two r290s or dual 780's (and slash 200.00) from your total build.

All in all...great components, youll love it. congrats
