The problem started yesterday, I noticed an unusual amount of lag in LoL even though the framrate counter said I was running at 90-120. I opened MSI Afterburner and sure enough GPU usage was at 99%, along with everything else running unusually high. The gpu temp was at about 70 degrees, same with the cpu temp. I can't think of anything I could have done to cause this, I did not DL anything around the time the problem started. The only thing that scared me was a strange sound coming from my PC while using a program called universal media server to stream video from my pc to my ps3. I used this fix to try and improve stuttering, and got rid of it when the problems started http://joepcremers.com/wordpress/playstation-media-server-1080p-mkv-stuttering/

I have a solid warranty so worst case scenario I get it taken in and fixed, but if there's a quick fix I would not want to pass up the opportunity to to it myself. Just strange that it only starts after 15 minutes.

Specs: Geforce GTX780 OC, Intel i7-4790, asus z97 deluxe, kingston hyper x fury 8 gb ddr3, samsung 840 evo ssd 250gb, seagate 1tb desltop hdd, corsair hx750 power supply, windows 8.1.

I should add there is nothing strange in task manager. The biggest process is chrome with 15% cpu usage.

have you downloaded any games or apps lately you shouldnt have? as some of them contain malware for bitcoin mining and such.
even if you havent i would recommend you scan with malwarebytes and another antivirus thats different from your normal day to day 1, as it may find something your normal 1 missed.
