For a couple of months my desktop computer GPU fan has been running constantly wether it was in idle mode or being put to use. After awhile of this frustration of hearing the loud noisy fan i decided to sweep the dust out by removing the cover and fan, little did i know, i accidentally removed the thermal paste between the fan copper plating. 3 weeks later i ordered StarTech Metal Oxide Thermal CPU Paste Compound Tube for Heatsink. I replaced the grease, spreading a thin layer but whenever i bootup my desktop the fan rjns constantly, after 10-15 mins it automatically shutsdown without warning.
Any suggestions on solving this my problem?
