Right now were using 25 mbs of download speed but I was thinking is 6mbs of download speed enough for 2 people? For example if I were to play Counter Strike and my friend is watching a video would it lag me? Or maybe 2 guys playing a game at the same time? If this is the wrong thread then move it please.

More about : mbs

You could probably get away with 15 mbs if you had to. I wouldnt go less than that. 6 is not enough. Youll use about half that just streaming. You will use all of it if it is in HD. Honestly I would keep the 25 if you can.

It depends on the quality of the stream. What you could do is try it right now and download a program like netbalancer. It tells you the download and upload rate of your computer. Run it on both computers and see how much it uses in total, if its higher than 6mbs you won't be able to do that. But then again you could always lower the quality of the stream.

For gaming on both computers it should be plenty because games actually don't use that high of a bandwidth, the latency is more important. If you are staying with the same provider the latency should be the same so I wouldn't worry about gaming.
