You only need about 2GB per monitor to have maximum capabilities.

This is tricky. The 780 ti's are obviously more powerful BUT at that resolution the 6gb of vram is actually probably more important. Even if you SLI 2 3gb cards you still only have 3gb of memory to work with. THEREFORE go for the 780 and sli it.

If you're doing 1 monitor, I would use 2 780tis. The 6GB of vram won't make a difference on 1 monitor but the TI boost on the cards will make a difference on gameplay and longevity of keeping things on max graphics. 2 cards are almost always more powerful than 1 and the TI boost would help with that increasing graphics capabilities. Even if you get a second monitor, I dual-box on a 660 2GB no overclock and keep everything max graphics with 60+ FPS

Hi,

if you can get 6bg sli at a good price, I would go for it.
The VRAM discussion now has changed since COD ghost and now watch dogs, both using maximum VRAM available.
I made a good decision when I bought my gtx 680 4gb, when everybody was saying 2 Gb is MORE than enough.

Just my humble opinion.
