Hello Forum,
I've been having issues with my second monitor and was hoping someone could help me figure out where the issue/solution lies.
First things first, here is my current setup:
-2 ASUS 1080p 21.5" monitors (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236100)
-MSI Z77A-G45 LGA 1155 MOBO (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130645)
-EVGA GTX 570 GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130593)
-OCZ ModXStream Pro 700W Modular PSU (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817341018)
-Intel i7-2600K Sandy Bridge 3.4GHz LGA 1155 CPU (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115070)
-Windows 7 Home Premium
Here's what happened:
I turned on my computer and two monitors like normal, changing absolutely nothing. Only one monitor received signal, while the other displayed "DVI NO SIGNAL" and hibernated. Unsure of what happened, I tried restarting my computer getting the same result. I checked and made sure all connections were secure, to no avail. I then tried using both DVI cables, from both ports on the GPU, on both monitors. Both of the cables work fine, both of the monitors work fine, and both of the ports on the GPU are fine. However when I try plugging them both in at the same time, they no longer both work.
I tried downloading and installing the latest NVIDIA driver (337.88), and restarting the computer again. This time when I tried to detect a new monitor from the control panel, the second monitor appeared, but was in (1024x768) instead of (1920x1080). When I clicked Detect again, the second monitor was no longer detected. I clicked once more, and had it show up displaying in (1024x768) again.
I'm stumped. I'm running virus scanners at this point in time to see if it could be a virus causing the issues.
Any help would be very greatly appreciated!
