Whats a better choice

Solution
First off why not the 4970k with the 2gb 770? It's going to be like The same price as a 4 gb 760.

What are you using this pc for? Assuming it's for gaming then you really don't need an i7 it doesn't help over the i5 aside from assuming that you will get higher clocks from the i7.

Honestly I would go 4690k plus a 290, that way you get plenty of 3gb memory and better performance than either one at a price comparable to the first option

Really depends on how much you game and what you use the computer for. If I were to game occasionally and use the computer for other stuff more, I would choose the i7 with GTX 760 4GB. If I were to game a bit more than other things then I would choose i5 with GTX 770 2GB. For nowadays, 2GB is more than enough for your anti-aliasing needs in graphics, etc.

Completely true, as I said, 4GB VRAM is unnecessary in this day and age.
