Hello people,

A co-worker recommended that I post here asking for advice.
I'm finally ready to start piecing together my own Gaming rig. However, I'm having trouble picking out parts. FYI, I've never built a PC from scratch before, only replaced parts.

My BIGGEST question is:
What is the best Motherboard I can get that is compatible with an "Intel Core i5-4670K" I'm embarrassed to say, I have no idea how to check Processor - MoBo compatibility

I also ask that you please comment on my build choices, for educational purposes.

Case - Budget $150

    Carbide Air 540 - Silver
I'm having second thoughts about this case after reading some reviews. I'm open to suggestions, though it HAS to be an ATX.

Power Supply - Undecided

I'm comfortable settling for a 750w Power supply, but no less.

Processor - Budget $250

    Intel Core i5-4670K

Motherboard - Budget $200

    Gigabyte GA-Z97X-UD5H
    A friend recommended this, offhand.

RAM - Undecided

    Open to suggestions

Video Card - Undecided

    Open to suggestions

Any help is appreciated, Thanks =]

To check Motherboard to Processor compatibility you just need to make sure they have the same socket types. The i5-4670K has socket type 1150, so any motherboard with socket type 1150 will be compatible with it.

The important things to look at on a motherboard are:
Chipset
Expansion slots (pci)
Back panel ports (USB 2.0/3.0 etc.Video out ports not important as you'll use the ones of the graphics card)
No of sata ports
DIMM slots
How much RAM it supports.

Basically you need to check its capable of handling the build you have in mind.
