I have been running into a very infuriating problem I cannot seem to fix. I built a new computer several months ago and have run into this problem after barely two months of use. During a few minutes of use or a sudden change of graphics, the screen will show flickering artifacts and jumbled pixels in random locations. After a few seconds, the screen shuts off and comes back on again. It gives me the error: Display driver AMD has stopped responding and has successfully recovered.
Things I have tried:
Using Driver Sweeper to remove AMD Drivers and reinstall with new ones.
Roll back the AMD Driver
Turn off Windows Aero
Set appearance and themes to best performance.
System build:
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP1
AMD FX-4300
Corsair Vengeance 8.00GB DDR3
Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3
ASUS VS239 (1920x1080@60Hz) 2048MB ATI AMD Radeon HD 7700 Series
HDD 1TB Western Digital
Current Display Driver:
AMD Catalyst Control 14.4
Thanks in advance for your help. If there is any more information that needs to be provided let me know.
