Both games mentioned by Nuckles_56 are what I had considered but a little research showed more than a few people playing BF4 happily at 60-80fps (some even showing 100fps but unverifiable quality) with very similar AMD rigs. A few people were not getting that kind of performance but I'm sure there are variables that we cannot take into account. StarCraft and BF4 are very CPU intensive (more-so than most) which does give the advantage to an Intel build and where Knuckles' build would shine

This is the build I would go with in your case, I know that you can't overclock it and it is an intel based build but it will perform better than the one you have selected

Battlefield 4 is really tough on AMD processors and often means that rigs which get good frame rates in most games have to drop the quality down a notch to maintain framerates, Starcraft 2 is also bad for AMD processors because it has a distinct preference for intel for some reason that I can't remember right now

thanks knuckles.Iim honestly not to fussed about the sound from the pc. as mine run music outloud 24/7 :p i did think about a quieter drive but not overlay fussed. thanks tho would love imput on the previous build, i ended up shying away from amd purely because of cpu and gpu temperatures get really high. and i dont really wanna go liquid cooling for first build:)

oh and before ppl comment on my motherbord, i am building a pc that i can over clock sli xfire later on in its life:) as for the 770 ih ave gone that because its almost pretty much equivalent or better then most 780's other then the 780ti's. which i can justify for the 700+ price tag:)

why are you sorry about not being able to justify a 780ti, especially seeing as you won't need it for gaming at 1080p. Just so you are aware, you will have a harder time getting a good overclock with the cooler master 212 EVO than the noctura CPU cooler as the 212 EVO really struggles with haswell CPU's. I would also stick with the i5 as no games make a i7 worthwhile and just save the money or stick with the 780 instead.

Another thing to point out is that hyper-threading adds heat in itself so if trying to run 8 cores, you'll throttle faster than on 4 so overclocks would be lower than the i5 unless hyper-threading is disabled and then you've defeated the purpose of the i7. There are a few instances where the extra cores offered by hyper-threading are beneficial, gaming is not currently one of them

i agree knuckless but i might not have mentions that i do abit of cad work, auto cad, solid works. also i was under the impression the the newer games from this year would start to breach into the i7's world. IE watch dogs lol in saying that the price difference for i5 to i7 is a $100.. Im only going air cooler for now as i dont really plan on overclocking for awhile(itll probably never happen).. i could very well get a i5 3.5 and liquid cooler and overclock it to 4.0 and run it every day all day

In saying that if i went into the i5. in my mind id probably look a the MSI GeForce GTX 770 4GB TWIN FROZR Video Card but id get 2 in sli form.. that would be a nice rig that would definitely chew games to peices. i guess i basically wanan build a rig that i dont have to touch for a couple years. :)
