MB= Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD5
Memory = Kingston Hyper X grey series 8GB kit of 2 X 4GB
240 pin DDR3 SDRAM 1600 desktop
Model KHX1600C9D3X2K2/8GX
The MB will not post I do not have any more memory sticks to use for testing . Have tried removing sticks down to 1 stick and still no post. I sent the new build to a trusted repair center and they tried different type of memory still no post . commuter turns on and power supply fan, case fan and cpu fans all spin . Tested speaker that creates the posting "beep" and it was working. this is a new build and the first time the build was powered up
could it be possible the test memory stick used could have been a non compatible stick and give a false bad MB ? I just don't want to RMA a good MB
