Hi all,

I recently built a PC for a friend http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/WfC4Bm and its exactly what she needed the only thing is now she wants it to be quieter.

I was thinking an upgrade for the stock cpu fan maybe a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO or something similar.

Is there anything else I could change to improve the noise level of her pc? Price is an issue so the cheaper the better really, but she says if she needs to save for a little while to get the best results she will.

Thanks in advance.

Solution
The corsair 200r has 1 included front 120mm fan and another included 120mm fan at the back
assuming you have not put any other case fans in the case you should only have to get two fans
i would recommend these for silent fans

Noise level with these fans is 8.6 dB(A) standard and 6.7 dB(A) (w/ L.N.A) so its dead silent
The coolermaster hyper 212 evo will be a good choice

im pretty sure looking at it that its the CPU fan making all the noise but from what i gather the air flow contribution from the case fans would make the whole thing cooler in there, therefor make the CPU fan have to work less? no overclocking going to be happening with the GPU or CPU on this build no.

the 212 evo will be much quieter than your stock cpu fan so if thats making all the noise then the 212 evo is well priced and will perform well for you.
If you only have the case as you bought it and have added no more fans then you will only have to replace 2 case fans , the noctuas are silent
