i hav an hd 6670 wich can jst manage to run bf4 on low settings wid a lot of stutter. i hav 7500 inr/- for a new graphic card. so is the sapphire hd 7770 a gud upgrade over the 6670?? Il be using it wid an fx 6300. it has gcn so mantle is supposed to work rite? any other suggestions wud be great
. also if i dont buy a new graf card then i can get an i5 4440/b85 combo. otherwise i will hav to stick wid fx 6300/amd 970/hd 7770.

Solution

If you are getting i5 4440, then you should get atleast GTX 750 Ti or R7 265 - that would be balanced. And also I'm saying those cards only because you have a 720p monitor, otherwise if you had a 1080p display the recommended card would have been GTX 760

but i saw the 7770 able to run bf4 in ultra at a constant 30-35 fps on my frnds pc. also i will only be gaming on 1366*768 for atleast 2 more years. and i jst cannot extend my budget rite now. and the 7770 has mantle.

I said it won't be much of an upgrade from HD 6670 GDDR5. It might make BF4 playable, but BF4 won't be the only game you will be playing all the time. And since BF4 is a multiplayer game, the target is 60 FPS

i dont play any multiplayer game. and wid the 6670 bf4 gives me 20 fps on low on 720p wich is pathetic. I onnly want something dat can play all games on medium on 720p

BF4 SP should be playable with 6670 GDDR5 at lowest settings , even DDR3 gives 32 fps. If you getting lesser performance you are probably having a junk PSU

the hd6670 is enough to play anything out there on at least 30fps on low 720p settings if not higher, just check out some youtube vids. What's the rest of your PC? How much ram do you have?

Something has to be wrong. Making sure you have enough ram and a decent cpu would be a good first step. I'd honestly get the i5 and b85 motherboard if you can and just save up because the 6670 even ddr3 version is good enough for low 720p gaming

i hav 3 gb ddr2 ram i suspect that is causing problems

probably, that is rather low amount of ram. You could try getting more ram. If you got the i5 and b85 you'd have to get ddr3 ram anyway so it may be cheaper to get as much ddr2 as you can. The q6600 isn't that bad, and is certainly able to play stuff on 720p

I'll put it correctly. Here you go :" So u say that i should go with the i5 4440. And can i sell the 6670 and get a 7770 ? Is it worth it??"
Is that good enough ?

you could save a little money and get the cheap haswell i5 with an h81 motherboard, they still have sata 6 and usb 3.0 , with the saved money maybe you could get 4gb ddr3 to hold you over.

Actually for gaming on 720p, the intel integrated isn't that bad. Before I got my gpu I could play stuff on 720p low settings. Or just keep and use the 6670.

I don't think the OP is trying to max any games out, just wants them playable, and that doesn't take much on only a 720p monitor :p
