Will a R7 260X bottleneck AMD Phenom II X4 955?

That would be a no. I'm using an R9 270 and Phenom even at stock 3.2 ghz will not bottleneck my card. Since 270 > 260x.....

But as a suggestion if you have a little bit more cash to spend perhaps you should by the R7 265 instead of the 260x. 265 will allow you to play most games on high or even ultra. As a comparison this is how the line up works:

750ti > 260x
R7 265 > 750ti (by at least 10-15% -> translates to about 8-15 fps depending on games)

Phenom 955 is not really low end because the Phenom line is still the best line AMD has put out compared to FX.
My phenom 955 black edition can be overclocked to 4.0 and still kicks ass in everything.

I wasn't comparing to an 8350 or 8320 since both of them are 8 core. I'm comparing to the rest of the FX series that are quad core. Dont compare apple to oranges.....

That is the terrible illusion everyone that owns and Intel have. First of all if you only buy an i7 for gaming and running multi-threaded application, an AMD FX 8350 can do the same thing as efficiently as an i7 can. AMD is not low end, AMD is aiming for different sector of the consumer market.

You get similar performance and fps using FX 9000 and i7 4770k. There are "real performance benchmarks" on youtube from JayZ and others.

Intel does better at floating calculations and surpasses intel, and AMD does better at point-to-point calculations.

Intel only benefits in real performance if you are using an extremely CPU stressing applications, otherwise games, 3d / video render, it doesn't make that much of a difference.

No, kid... I just love how your parents bought u i7, but your little head knows nothing about CPU's, nor hardware :D and believe me yes u are pathetic ;)

PS. yes I will buy i7 for 400$ when FX 8350 is 180$ and have absolutely the same performance with the latest games...
