New graphics card causes problems

Hi guys,

I recently bought a new graphics card (and a psu and a case, for that matter). However, when I try to start up games now, I get various error messages.

Specs:
Processor: AMD fx-8320 8-core @ 3,5GHz
Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo
Motherboard: MSI 760GA-P43
RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport 2x4GB 1600MHz CL9 (9-9-9-24)
Storage: Samsung 830 Series 128GB SSD (520r/320w)
Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 7200rpm HDD
Graphics card: XFX R9 290 Double Dissapation Black Edition @ 980Mhz
Power Supply: EVGA SuperNova 1000 G2
Case: NZXT H440 White

If I try to start up Battlefield 4, after loading the level is gives me this error message: http://i.imgur.com/BNA26P0.png

If I try to start up Counter-Strike Global Offensive, it gives me this error right at the startup (before that I also see the mouse and the loading icon very big on a black screen and with a low resolution): http://i.imgur.com/fqBT0aj.png

When I try to play Terraria, I've got a massive amount of input lag and the framerate is also low.

In windows everything seems to be working normal, though it gives 1024x768 as the recommended resolution instead of 1080p. It doesn't do this with my older graphics card, the HD6670.

When I open GPU-Z, it gives me this screen: http://gpuz.techpowerup.com/14/06/10/d86.png
Whereas it should be something like this : http://img.videocardz.com/1/2013/10/R9-290-GPU-Z.jpg (reference card)

What strikes me, is that the name of the 'card' in GPU-Z is "Microsoft Basic Display-Adapter" instead of "AMD Radeon R9 200 Series". The error for CS:GO also says at 'DriverName'.

I already deleted everything related to AMD (drivers), put the card back in and reinstalled the driver, but nothing seems to work. I'm kind of at a loss here since I just bought the almost-flagship card of AMD and I can't even play games with it properly.

If anyone has any idea at all how to fix this or what causes it at all, I'd be very glad to hear it.

Thanks in advance!

Solution
I think I got it fixed. I noticed a note on the 14.4 CCC saying that it is only compatible with Windows 8.1. So I upgraded to 8.1 (which I should've done way earlier, I know) and device manager finally recognized the card as a 'R9 200' card. Battlefield booted, have to see for other games still, but it is looking good. I'm sorry I can't grant anyone the solution, since I found it myself by accident. Thank you very much for your support anyway!

Brother There Are 2 connections of vga if u put
i mean one may be the direct vga adapter from the motherboard and one may be the grahphic card one

Can You Get Me And Image of the peripherals of your cpu

This shouldn't be the case on BF4, as it uses the mantle AMD engine!

I would like to attempt to solve BF4 first, as this should be the one that should be working most with an R9 card. Try a range of AMD CCC drivers, and not just the one, if you have your manufacturer OC software, lower GPU clock and test again. Also check your power cables connected to card.

I discovered something: when I have my old Radeon HD 6670 installed, in device manager it shows up like this: http://i.imgur.com/uKOCbUv.png The way it should.

However, with the R9 290 installed, it just says "Microsoft Basic Display-adapter". (http://i.imgur.com/JJUS4XP.png)

Does this mean my motherboard doesn't recognize the R9 290 in some way? Might this be causing the problems?

I went into the BIOS and the only two options were the motherboard VGA and PCI-E. It was set to the latter, so that should be good. Thanks for the suggestion
