Hi everyone,

I'm have a problem with my monitor/GPU. I'm getting these thin black horizontal lines that keep flickering on the screen every now and then. Sometimes it doesn't happen at all and sometimes it happens every 5-10 minutes or so. The strange thing is, I *think* it only happens when using HDMI because I'm using DisplayPort now and it hasn't happened *yet*.

My monitor is the Asus PB278Q (2560x1440) and my GPU is the Gigabyte 780 Ti reference model.

Does anyone have any idea what this might be?

Below isn't an actual screenshot of the problem but I have tried to replicate what the flickering looks like (I used MS Paint :p ). These lines will flicker all over the screen then randomly stop.

i have an nice and easy idea to check whether its GPU problm or Moniter :D

Just take a screen shoot of your desktop . if u got lines in your screenshoot then it will caused by GPU , if your screenshoot image is clean and have no line then its your Monitor...

For Gpu just takeout your GPU clean your GPU slot and pc slot also then install Gpu again .. and see any change u notice ...:ange:

Thanks, I'll give this a shot. I've been using it with my HDMI cable for a few hours now and it's not doing it (typical). But next time it flickers I'll be ready to press that Prt Scr button!
